imageto10kb is a free, privacy-first image compressor that reduces any photo or document to an exact file-size target — 10 KB, 20 KB, 50 KB, or whatever a particular form requires.
Anyone who has filled in an online exam or job-application form knows the frustration: the portal demands a photo "between 20 KB and 50 KB" or a signature "under 10 KB", and rejects the upload until it fits. Most compressors only offer a quality slider, leaving you to guess and re-export again and again. imageto10kb was created to solve exactly this — you tell it the size you need, and it does the guessing for you.
When you choose an image, the tool draws it onto an HTML canvas inside your browser and repeatedly re-encodes it, searching for the highest quality that still fits under your chosen size. If quality alone is not enough, it gently reduces the resolution until the target is met. Because all of this happens on your own device, your images are never uploaded to any server, never stored, and never seen by anyone else.
Alongside generic size targets, imageto10kb includes ready-made presets that match the official photo and signature specifications for popular Indian applications, including SSC (CGL, CHSL, MTS), UPSC Civil Services, PAN card, and standard passport-size photos.
